Battery Diversion Safe (D, C and AA)
Description
A zinc alloy battery with a hollow core, available in D, C and AA. Drop it into a remote control, a battery caddy, a junk drawer or a torch and it becomes completely anonymous.
Batteries are ideal cover for the same reason hardware is: they accumulate, they look identical to each other, and they are worth nothing. A drawer with a dozen loose batteries in it is not somewhere anyone searches, and even a thorough search would involve picking up and weighing each one.
The zinc alloy body gives it the correct heft, which matters here more than in most items. A light battery is immediately obvious. This one is not.
The compartment suits rolled bills, a small key, a memory card or tablets. The D size offers the most room, the AA the least.
